The focus for this year’s BBR Network major charitable donation is the iThemba Labantu Foundation for Children. This is a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Philippi, one of the poorest townships on the outskirts of Cape Town, South Africa - where crime, poverty and violence are a daily struggle. The NGO focuses on creating a safe space for children and adults to learn, develop and receive free health care as well as psychological support, while focusing on their development and educational future. We were pleased to welcome Pastor Otto Kohlstock, Director of iThemba Labantu, to the Gala Dinner during our Annual Global BBR Conference and to present him with a check for ZAR 100,000 (around $6,300) of which half was contributed by BBR Component Manufacturers and half by BBR VT International. We thank our suppliers for their support and are pleased to be able to help disadvantaged members of a community in which we work.
