BBR Network reaches new heights in Warsaw

Warsaw’s latest skyscraper – the 42-storey Q22 building - has opened and it features BBR post-tensioning and expertize. The team from BBR Polska began work on this prestigious project in 2014 and, as well as delivering the detailed tendon layout, also installed almost 2,000 post-tensioning tendons. They used the BBR VT CONA CMF flat system for all the slabs, while a few edge beams were post-tensioned with BBR VT CONA CMI tendons due to the long spans and deflection limitations. The construction schedule was extremely tight – with each level being constructed in just five days – and excellent co-operation between all teams on site made this an especially rewarding experience. Now, the 50,000m2 of office space within the shining new Q22 building is ready to welcome its first tenants who will also enjoy amenities such as restaurants, a fitness area and lockers for cyclists.
