New sensing technology

Recently, BBR WIGAbloc technology has been used in the oil industry in the Gulf Region.

The 12,000 kN sensors were fitted to the buffer sections of NRCC’s service barge to monitor loading changes. BBR WIGAbloc is a measuring instrument for compression forces which was recently introduced to the BBR product range. Typical applications are calibration of hydraulic jacks, stay cable monitoring, bridge load control, ground anchor monitoring and many more. WIGAbloc load cells come in a wide range from 5 to 20,000 kN.
