Massive new LNG tank project in Kuwait

Eight storage tanks as part of Al Zour LNG Import Project

BBR Network Member SRG has secured an AUD $26.5m contract with Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd. for the provision of specialist contracting services for eight new LNG tanks in Kuwait. Under the contract, SRG will be responsible for post-tensioning eight LNG storage tanks which are a core part of the Al Zour LNG Import Project in Kuwait. Once fully operational, the facility is expected to produce approximately 22 million metric tonnes (MMT) of natural gas per year and will have a storage capacity of 1.8 million cubic meters of LNG.
