BBR Members contribute to a very worthy cause

We are very proud to announce that the Global BBR Network has raised 4,000 CHF for the Foundation children's hospital Kantha Bopha. This was achieved during the Global BBR Conference in Lucerne last May by means of the BBR Charity Golf Tournament. Component Manufacturers sponsored the event and each of the players donated to the cause. A fun afternoon filled with international rivalry was had by all participants. The winners were presented with an original Swiss Cow Bell trophy.

The charity Kantha Bopha continues to work in children's hospitals in Cambodia under the careful supervision of Swiss Dr. Beat Richner from Zurich, Switzerland. The Cambodian people and especially the parents of the children being treated are deeply thankful for the life saving services enabled by donors.

Kantha Bopha has become a highly respected model for the entire Southeast Asian region. It shows how efficient direct medical and humanitarian aid – i.e. correct medication unhampered by corruption, combined with targeted long-term training – can be in curative and preventive medicine as well as in research. Most of the funding comes from private individuals in Switzerland who make spontaneous donations for Kantha Bopha.
